The path of the design began as a photograph of a hand curling around a phone, readying its owner for a SELFIE – then morphed into a design that removes context and clarity, that blurs the image, its lines and colors. Producing the design in alpaca, whose yarns only partially accept the dyes, ensures the final rug is an intriguing visual treat with a distinct impact on its environment.
