The TOPOGRAPHY collection is a meditation on the California coastal environment and a landscape too often flooded and burned, but also stunningly lit, expansive and breathtaking. The resulting rugs borrow heavily from the landscapes around the region: dry and flooded rivers, flames of wildfire, and endless formations formed by the waters of the rivers and ocean. All in densely hand-knotted wool and silk.

From ink and paper to warp and weft. The KERNING collection began as lettering on a punk rock poster then underwent layers of transformation – scanned, distorted, and digitally manipulated before its final iteration as rugs, expanding significantly in scale from its original form. From homemade designs stapled to a telephone pole to impeccably crafted rugs made in the most luxurious materials.
