A pen and ink drawing transforms into a rug, with spontaneous gestures knotted into a richly tactile surface. GRAFFITO is a dense field of scribbles, marks, and irregular boxes—each one seemingly etched, carved, or scratched into the wool, sitting just below the higher pile. Though there is no structured pattern or repeating motif, every detail is unique, resulting in a surface that feels both dynamic and intentional. The absence of repetition only strengthens the sense of movement and energy, yet the composition remains remarkably cohesive and balanced. A fringe, rendered in the design’s secondary color, adds a subtle finishing touch and is available as an optional detail, though its inclusion is recommended to complete the piece.
